Student loans for international students
Prodigy Finance is founded on the philosophy that funding shouldn't be a barrier to education.
In 2007, three MBA students recognised that traditional banks don't serve the needs of international students: requiring collateral, co-signers, guarantors or documentation that students simply don't have. They made it their mission to make quality education accessible, using fintech to redefine the student loan market.
And the NIT is very proud to be a partner in this innovative and borderless model that judges students on their potential, not just their current circumstances and credit history.
The Education Fund - An Income Share Agreement (ISA)
The education fund is based on the model of an Income Share Agreement (ISA).
The redemption begins after a successful career entry with an annual minimum income. For a maximum of 10 repayment years you pay back a predefined percentage of your income. One important feature is, that the repayments by students who have graduated and are earning above the minimum income enable new students to finance their education. This cycle creates a safe funding option for new students at your university.
The "old" ones support the "new" ones. Solidarity is a built-in feature!
KfW student loan – financing your studies and doctorate
The KfW Bank offers student loans to German and, subject to certain conditions, international NIT students.
The Federal Government's Education Loan Program – financial support for education and studies
The education loan supports you in financing your school education or studies.
GERMAN ACADEMIC EXCHANGE SERVICE
The NIT in cooperation with the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) may award a limited number of Cost of Living Allowances to outstanding international students without industrial tuition scholarships or other scholarships towards their cost of living. Such an allowance covers 250€ per month and is granted for one year.

CLAUSSEN SIMON FOUNDATION
We would like to highlight the close relationship between the NIT and the Claussen Simon Foundation. The foundation awards scholarships to talented young students with an outstanding academic performance who wish to devote themselves with great commitment to their upcoming master’s program. The scholarships are awarded for studies of all disciplines at German universities.
Schotstek
is concerned with equal opportunities, the realization of all potentials, connecting top immigrant offspring with companies, and the collaborative growth of an urban society. It encourages ambitious young migrants to seek opportunity. The Schotstek Scholarship offers scholarship holders personal access to persons, institutions, and events that might otherwise remain closed off.
Hemshorn Foundation
The Hemshorn Foundation awards scholarships to young people with a Christian background to help them develop their full potential. The scholarship aims to promote those with a special talent or high motivation. Support can come in various forms such as grants to cover study costs, participation fees for specialist courses, and subsidies for teaching materials.
NXP has been an important partner of the NIT for over 15 years and awards scholarships to outstanding students every year.
