The NIT is located on the Campus of the reknown Technical University of Hamburg in the District of Hamburg-Harburg.
Due to ist central location south of the Elbe River, the NIT Campus can easily be reached by long-distance trains, by flight via Hamburg Airport, and local public transport. It’s only 15 minutes from Campus to the world famous Hamburg Harbour and the inner city of Hamburg with all its sightseeing spots like historical Townhall, cultural offers like Elbphilharmonie, international gastronomy, shopping amenities, Sports stadiums and concert halls, and relaxing spaces in beautiful parks, Zoo, Museums, and nature even in the inner city.
Accommodation on campus
Living & Studying at the NIT - we offer accomodation on Campus, which is rare in Germany. A fully furnished student apartment, safe environment, no commuting, no auxiliary costs – for just 600 EUR per month.
For new NIT students, a limited amount of scholarships for a reduced monthly rent is available.

As well as our own administration offices, our NIT building holds teaching – and working spaces and a 65 single-apartment dorm on the top 3 floors:
- 18sqm apartment with own kitchenette and bathroom/shower each

- Large cvommon room with TV, table football, games, musical instruments

Enjoy your free time
Not only do we offer two common kitchens on each floor of the dorm, including a balcony with beautiful view over the campus for relaxing and for BBQ’s, but also common spaces to hang out with your fellow students, watching movies, playing games, listening and playing music together.
The NIT building
Beyond our classrooms, learning spaces, PC-Pool, meeting-rooms and offices, the NIT administration offices and the dorm, your future home offers a cafeteria on ground floor and a gym in the basement. It‘s only a 3 Minute walk to the Hamburg Public Transport Bus and Train Station, Shopping mall and grocery stores a just in a few minutes walking distance. Of course you will have access to the TUHH amenities (library, cafeterias, learning spaces,…).
